Ana sayfa / Computers

Huawei is expanding its processor family as a result of the embargoes imposed by the US. The company, which made a big impact with the Mate 60 powered by Kirin 9000S, has now developed a desktop processor. Huawei Qingyun W515x and W585x computers powered by Kirin 9000C were introduced.

Developed by Huawei and SMIC, the Kirin 9000C is an 8-core, 12-thread processor clocked at up to 2.48GHz. Huawei, which has recently struggled to source products from Intel and Qualcomm, wants to expand into the desktop world with this processor.

The company’s MateBook laptops feature AMD Ryzen and Intel processors. The Qingyun W515x model introduced in China is powered by the Kirin 9000C. This shows that the company is focusing on more local solutions.

Qingyun has configurations to appeal to different users. The W515x comes with 8GB/16GB RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB SSD to 512GB SSD + 1TB HDD. The more affordable W585x comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD.

On the software side, Huawei prefers its own Tongxin operating system. The operating system, which is different from HarmonyOS, will come with KOS 2403 and UOS 1070 versions. Its independence from Windows reflects the goal of creating an independent software ecosystem with the Kirin 9000C,

The price of Qingyun W515x is uncertain for now. The model introduced in China is expected to be available in the coming weeks. We will see what Huawei will do in this market over time.
